Some news outlets are reporting the possibility of a Rudy Gay for Ricky Rubio trade.

Please note that the rumor has come from what essentially amounts to one Minnesota columnist's opinion, much like the Shaq from Cleveland trade rumors that initiated from a WSJ columnist's speculations. Not real facts. Since the Grizzlies passed up on drafting the rights to Rubio because they were scared he might Steve Francis us, I find it highly unlikely that they'll trade a rising star for, well, Rubio's draft rights.
