Wayne Ellington injures knee in practice

Jennifer Stewart-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Guard Wayne Ellington injured his right knee in practice on Monday.

On Monday, Grizzlies guard Wayne Ellington left practice with a right knee contusion and a sore right foot, according to the Commercial Appeal, after he collided with Jerome Jordan.

Ellington needed assistance to walk into the trainer's room. He left the gym walking gingerly and is listed as day-to-day.

That's not good, though, it's not necessarily bad either. It's just a setback. And considering Josh Selby is injured and Tony Wroten has a sprained ankle, we're getting mighty thin at guard. So much for making a statement, Jerome Jordan.
