Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

A look at what to expect from the 2012-13 Memphis Grizzlies team from a fantasy basketball perspective.

In my other life, or shall I say my other "other life," I'm a bit of a fantasy basketball "expert," if you will. I've been all over the place over the past 7 years, including NBA.com, AOL FanHouse, RotoExperts.com, Sirius/XM, and now, soon, SB Nation -- yeah, that later, some other time.

But, I did want to point you to a piece I worked on, since it is Grizzlies related, for the site Damn Lies and Stats dot com.

It's a quick look at the Grizzlies and what you can expect from the players as fantasy owners, if you're into that sort of thing. I realize not everyone is, but, still, you can read it and agree or disagree on my assessment even if you don't dig fantasy hoops. Ya dig?

In short, the Grizzlies have plenty of fantasy talent on this team, starting, but not stopping, with the starting five. Marc Gasol, Rudy Gay, Mike Conley, Zach Randolph, etc., all have great value. And I do think that we're going to see an even better Mike Conley this season, seeing nice signs of his improved scoring abilities in the preseason -- 3-point shooting, aggressive drives to the hoop, getting to the line more, and so on.

So, if you're interested, take a read and do look for out upcoming announcement on fantasy hoops for SB Nation, if you're into that sort of thing.
