It was about as perfect of a game as the Memphis Grizzlies could have played, as they topped the Heat in a wire-to-wire victory, 104-86.
Not once did the Memphis Grizzlies trail the Miami Heat, while bringing their lead to 27 points at one point in the second half. It was, in all honesty, about as perfect of a game as the Memphis Grizzlies could have played.
Game ball goes to Wayne Ellington, who finished with a game-high 25 points off the bench on 7-of-11 shooting form beyond the arc. The Grizzlies, as a team, made 14 of their 24 3-point attempts, which is pretty much their monthly allotment. It was an incredible shooting performance from the Grizzlies, even extending out to Rudy Gay who was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.
Funny, in a game in which Marc Gasol scored just two points, the Grizzlies never once looked out-matched. It was absolutely the most complete performance you may see from this team all season long.
Our very own Kevin Lipe was covering the game at the FedEx Forum and will have a rundown up shortly, but for now, let's hear those Grizzly roars on a night where we looked like -- if I may -- the most complete team in the NBA.
