"It's alright, TA. Ya'll be fine without me... I think."
According to Ronald Tillery, Marc Gasol (ankle) is "iffy" for tonight's game against the Houston Rockets. Gasol did not practice yesterday, which certainly places him in the "eh, maybe" column in the injury report. As Griffin pointed out in his game preview, the Grizzlies hold a HUGE game-and-a-half lead over the Rockets in the playoff hunt. So, this is going to be an important one tonight.
Hopefully we'll have better news to report later, but as of know it's probably close to a toss-up, with a slight lean toward Gasol not playing tonight. Why do I say that? Well, the Grizzlies are in a 3-game road set, playing three times over the next fours nights (and five times over the next six), so rushing him back tonight probably isn't the best course of action, especially since they're not going to be able to give him much rest over the next six nights -- if he's good and ready. Just a hunch, but we'll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more details.
