Ray Allen Almost Came to Memphis
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports says in today's column that a deal fell apart at the trade deadline that would've sent Ray Allen to the Grizzlies for OJ Mayo and a draft pick. Allen had already been informed that he had been traded to the Grizzlies before the deal was called off. While that certainly would've helped the Grizzlies' outside shooting quite a bit, I'm glad we kept OJ and brought on Arenas instead. Ray Allen in a Grizzlies uniform would've been something, though. What do you think? Too weird, or would he have fit into the Grit & Grind culture? We know he and Tony Allen won a ring together...
