Video Highlights: Grizzlies 98, Warriors 94; It Wasn't Pretty, It Just Was

Last night the Grizzlies defeated a pesky Warriors team, 98-94. Talk about a tough matchup. Considering the Warriors were without Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut, you would think that a starting lineup consisting of Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler wouldn't give us much of a struggle. But, no. Tyler had a career game. David Leecontinues to ball. Nate Robinson had one of "those games." It just turned into a full-on struggle pretty much from the jump.

Once again, though, O.J. Mayo came up huge off the bench. This is exactly the kind of Mayo we ordered -- please forgive me for that one. He's knocking down jumpers, creating strong offensive sets, not getting out-played on defense... we could use more of this Mayo come playoff time. Same goes for Gilbert Arenas who dropped 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting to go along with 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals (0 turnovers) -- just what we signed up for. And did I mention how big Dante Cunningham was off the bench?

To think, we won a game in which Zach Randolph went for 6 points and 4 rebounds and Rudy Gay shot 3-of-13 from the floor. Oh, what a funny game it is indeed.

There were certainly moments where you could see a letdown coming, after our big win on Monday night against theOklahoma City Thunder. But, the Grizzlies, thanks to the bench, really pulled it together down the stretch.

The shooting was a nice plus, hitting 9 threes, and seeing them get a aggressive with the ball, getting to the line 24 times (though making just 15 of those attempts), was a nice bonus as well. I do worry, though, about tonight. After an emotional win on Monday night, a hard-fought victory on Tuesday against a team that we should have been able to put away early, night three may not be so kind to us. But, that's for a later post. For now, just enjoy the fact that we'll at the very least scape from this back-to-back-to-back with two wins. You'll take that every time!
