The Memphis Grizzlies used the 25th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft to select a point guard with size, flash and passing skill in Tony Wroten, Jr. out of the University of Washington. It's a pick that simultaneously seems to be one of value late in the first round and one of need, as the Grizz search for another option at the point guard spot behind Mike Conley.
Below, via the essential DraftExpress, are workout highlights of Wroten, who is also describing himself and his game throughout the highlight package. It's an interesting and insightful look into how Wroten sees himself and what he can bring to a professional team.
Memphis may have gotten themselves a steal here, and it's hard not to get excited about the possibilities that Wroten's skill set could present to a team in need of a few different looks and methods of attack from the perimeter.
But take a look and listen for yourself. This is, I might add, only one of many highlight videos for Wroten on the Youtube. Why not make a night of it?
