Where do you think he'll go? Me, I'm putting my money on the Mavericks. His top four suitors seem to be down to Chicago, Phoenix, LAL and Dallas.

Chicago I'd say is the best fit basketball-wise, but they don't have the flexibility of a Phoenix or a Dallas. But to see Mayo alongside Rose...he could be the shooting guard they've been looking for. I'd love to see Mayo take less money to play for them.

LA I just can't see happening. OJ wouldn't get the minutes he wants if he's at the same position as Kobe, he would be only the fifth or so best player on their current roster, and I'm also not sure that LA would match other teams financially either (assuming Buss doesn't develop a Bynum-like confidence in OJ).

So for me, that leaves 2 - Phoenix and Dallas

Maybe OJ isn't going to get the kind of money he's asking for, but between those two teams, I'd assume Phoenix would offer more money as they try to move into the post-Nash era. But, if I'm OJ, would I rather take $7 mil on a sub-par team in Phoenix, or maybe $6 mil in Dallas? Dallas is a better team, flat out. Cuban is the best owner in terms of how he treats his players. And with the cap space Dallas has for summer 2013, you've got to assume they'll get another big name, giving Mayo the third-ish scorer role that he's suited for. Better team, better organization, slight difference money-wise? If I'm him I'm going to Dallas. I see him as a more athletic Jason Terry in so far as his ability to get hot and provide extra scoring.
