While the attraction was probably never felt on the same wavelengths from both sides, the Memphis Grizzlies quest to maybe, possibly, land Ray Allen is now officially over.
The news first landed a short while ago via Miami Heat owner Micky Arison's Twitter page. The not-so-cryptic "#20" he mentions was all the scoop anyone needs, but the announcement has also been confirmed by the likes of Adrian Wojnarowski and David Aldridge, so yeah, it's happening.
The Grizzlies were a long-shot in this one, to be sure, but still: Another one bites the dust.
