Zach Randolph would love to read an interview with Robert Pera but doesn't want to spend that much money to do it. Somebody cut ZBo some slack.
After months of silence about his plans to purchase the team and a long period as an International Man of Mystery, potential new Grizzlies owner Robert Pera finally gave an exclusive interview to the (awkwardly-named) Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal.
In the interview, Pera talks about the falling stock price of his company, Ubiquiti Networks, about his reasons for wanting to purchase the Grizzlies:
When I was growing up, if I could do anything in the world I wanted to be a professional athlete. For a long time my dream was always to be in a position to maybe be involved in a NBA team.
Unfortunately for Grizzlies fans starved for any concrete information about Pera, the full article is here and requires a $60 digital subscription to the Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal to read – which only leaves we of Grizz Nation even more desperate to hear from Pera.
With any luck, he’ll give an interview to a publication that can actually reach fans of the Memphis Grizzlies. Given how private of a person Pera is, though, another interview right on the heels of this one seems unlikely. And so, we wait.
