That was horrible. The Grizzlies came out and ripped a big old garbage fart of a second half in San Antonio tonight, and they were punished mercilessly for it. The Grizzlies lost by 21 tonight. They lost by 26 to the Clippers on Monday. They lost by 21 to the Mavericks on Saturday. Yikes.
This game doesn't even deserve a haiku. The Grizzlies trailed by 3 at the half, down 57-54. Here's the box score:
Look! Zeroes again. I guess the box score thing is still broken.
Well lemme tell ya: it sucked. The Grizzlies scored 15 points in the third quarter and 13 in the fourth. Meanwhile the Spurs shot 58% for the game, and had assists on 75% of their made field goals.
At least Tony Wroten got to play? I guess?
These guys look like they're not playing hard. That second half was pathetic. And so my quick recap is pathetic. Expect to see a lot more about this one tomorrow and in the days to come. Something's rotten in Grizz-land, and this little 20-point blowout streak needs to stop. Now.
Pounding The Rock is probably gloating, as well they should, because the Grizzlies got stomped all over tonight.
PS: Zach Randolph had to leave the game with a "strained back." As if it wasn't terrible enough watching Tim Duncan and company wipe the floor with the boys in blue.
