The Grizzlies knocked off the Bulls in Chicago tonight, but it took them extra time to do it.
Well, that was pretty ugly.
The Grizzlies needed extra time to put away the Chicago Bulls on the road tonight, after allowing Chicago to score 29 points in the 4th quarter while only scoring 16.
Rudy Gay had a rough night, scoring 16 points but taking 19 shots to do so. Speaking of 19, that's how many rebounds Zach Randolph had, but he shot 6-20 and scored 13. The Bulls' defense was tough even without Luol Deng in the lineup tonight.
There were some monumentally horrible possessions for the Grizzlies in there. The last one of regulation. The five second violation on an inbounds with seconds left in OT. Missed free throws all over the place. It was not the Grizzlies' finest, most elegant moment. But you know what? I bet they don't care a bit. They won.
The Game was ugly;
Grinding, grinding, and grinding
Finally paid off.
Let's see those winning haiku in the comments. You had five extra minutes of basketball to compose them!
