Ron Tillery of the Commercial Appeal has some news on Twitter that will warm the hearts of Griz fans everywhere:
Griz continue to field trade calls for Zach Randolph but have informed teams that they aren’t interested in moving the All Star forward— Ronald Tillery (@CAGrizBlog) February 8, 2013
ZBo was in trade talks earlier this season. Team brass told ZBo yesterday that he won’t be moved this season.Focus is on rallying the troops— Ronald Tillery (@CAGrizBlog) February 8, 2013
Given the maelstrom of rumors and conjecture that has swirled around this team since some time around the middle of November, it ought to be welcome news that Zach Randolph isn’t going anywhere. The more panicky element of Griz fans has been worried that Randolph would be moved ever since word got out that the Kings had inquired about trading for him — and they were worried that Z-Bo would be shipped off in a Hollinger Trade Machine driven cash dump.
That ain’t happening. Now it’s official. Rejoice, Griz fans and Z-Bo fans!
