It's that time of the year again.
Alongside 21 other teams the Memphis Grizzlies will be competing for the first ever Summer League Championship in Las Vegas. Per the Griz website,
Teams will play three preliminary games – and at least five games total – with all games taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Games will be available to watch via NBA TV. That schedule will come at a later date. Here's the schedule:
- Saturday, July 13 - Chicago Bulls
- Sunday, July 14 - Cleveland Cavaliers
- Tuesday, July 16 - Phoenix Suns
If the Grizz retain all of their draft picks those three players will surely be on the Summer League roster. As for those on the actual roster expect last years first round pick Tony Wroten, Jon Leuer and late season signings Willie Reed and Donte Green to play. There were rumors that Lionel Hollins wanted Ed Davis to participate in the Summer League tournament, but now that Hollins is gone the chances of that are unlikely.
Because we're talking Summer League here's an ode to the Las Vegas legend: Josh Selby
