Hello, this is my first post here as I just found this place a few days ago, but I have been a huge Grizz fan since we got them. That being said, here's what I was thinking. I read today that the Cavs had offered their #1 pick, Tristan Thompson, and Dion Waiters to the T-Wolves for Kevin Love. I laughed at the idea at first, but then got to thinking. Would the Cavs make the same offer for say, Zach and Tayshaun Prince?
I'm not a big fan of the idea of moving Zach, but shedding his salary and picking up some good young pieces to build with is a very tempting thought. First off, Waiters would give us an instant scoring 2 guard coming off the bench behind Tony Allen, and could be groomed to take over for Tony when he moves on. T. Thompson could give us another lengthy big coming off the bench behind new starter(probably) Ed Davis while DA backs up Marc. Finally, we could use the #1 overall pick on a scoring wing like Porter from Georgetown, who could come off the bench initially behind Quincy Pondexter before eventually taking over as the starter, allowing Q-Pon to come off the bench with a potentially high-octane 2nd unit.
So in that scenerio, our line-up would look something like this:
SG- TA, Waiters, Daye
SF- Q-Pon, Porter, Daye
PF- Davis, T.Thompson, Jon L.
Just a very basic, far-fetched idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there...
