Jay Caspian Kang wrote this great piece for Grantland about the Grizzlies and their chances for making a title run this year. He, like most of us, thinks the Grizz need more perimeter scoring to have a legitimate chance at an NBA title, but it's still a great read, and it's great to see the team getting this kind of coverage.

This from Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears, includes a Wednesday night tweet from Grizzlies icon Shane Battier: "I may have some interesting news [Thursday]. But I need a full night’s sleep first." So. Sounds like we may be hearing more at some point today. But the rumors seem to indicate Battier may be taking his talents, well, you know the rest. What impact could losing Battier have on the Grizz?

From Yahoo!, teams, players and their agents can all catch up with one another over a friendly cup of coffee, effective Wednesday (tomorrow). On Thursday, players can finally get back into their team's facilities. Time to get the shooting drills and wind sprints rolling!

According to Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal, the deal right now is resting on Memphis's willingness to include a future first-round pick. Also, all offers for Randolph and Mayo have been spurned, according to the article. Sounds like Memphis is trying to make moves to better the team right now, which is good news. On the Thabeet-Battier proposal, is a future #1 worth it? Sound off in the comments...

Andrew Unterberger of The Basketball Jones goes through the NBA's best bandwagon teams for the rest of the season, and our Grizzlies came in at number five out of 16. So people are watching and waiting, Grizz. Let's give them somethin' to cheer about tonight, eh?
