The Grizzlies are in an odd situation as they enter stretch run. They are playing excellent basketball right now and are starting to look like one a ballclub that should be in the post-season rather than a team that will be in the post-season (teams like the Pacers or Bobcats come to mind when I think of teams that make the post-season but don't necessarily deserve it). But at the same time, it may be best for Memphis to lose games down the stretch so that they can have a more favorable match-up in the first round of the post-season.
If you're not happy with just making the post-season, then you probably want the Grizzlies to take on the Spurs in the first round. Right now the Lakers look unbeatable while the Spurs are on a cold streak as their older roster faces injury issues. I'm not suggesting that the Grizzlies should be throwing games to get a more favorable match-up but I am saying that these games aren't of the must-win variety. Memphis made their run and are now secured in the post-season picture so if the Grizzlies don't wind up coming out on top against the Clippers tonight, don't be too disappointed, because it might even turn out for the better.
Also, enjoy watching Blake Griffin play basketball. He's good.
