After a somewhat disappointing opening night, the Grizzlies rebounded on Friday night to top the Warriors, 104-94.
The Grizzlies weren't quite able to celebrate their first victory of the season, as the injury of Brandon Rush, as a result of a Zach Randolph block attempt, really dampened the evening -- and for good reason. No one likes to see a player get hurt in the fashion that Rush got hurt, and it seemed to affect Randolph and the Grizzlies, as well as the Warriors. It was a tough moment for everyone, and we certainly wish Rush well.
As for the result, Mike Conley had a nice game, scoring 21 points on 5-of-9 shooting, hitting all 8 of his free throws and making 3-of-5 3-point attempts. He also chipped in with 7 assists and 5 steals.

Zach Randolph finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds in 36 minutes, while Marc Gasol chipped in with 21 points of his own.
The Grizzlies, as a team, shot 46.2 percent from the 3-point line and forced 18 turnovers to just 13 of their own. For the Warriors, Stephen Curry led the way with a game-high 26 points, hitting 6-of-10 3-pointers.
Next up for the Grizzlies, they take on the Utah Jazz.
