Last night Tony Wroten made his D-League debut for the Reno Bighorns, scoring 21 points in 27 minutes. Now, we're said it here before on the site and I'll say it again, as bright as I think Wroten's future can be, I think this is the right move in letting him at least get some burn in the D-League to build his confidence and fix his jumper.
Trisity Miller of The Grit and Grindhouse had a nice breakdown of the performance.
She writes:
After a month of not breaking Lionel Hollins' rotation in Memphis unless it was a blowout, 25th overall pick Tony Wroten was sent to the D-League to play for the Reno Bighorns.
Coming off the bench, Wroten debuted with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists 27 minutes in a 95-79 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Her complete breakdown can be found here. It's definitely worth a read!
