Tony Allen Questionable Tonight Against The Spurs

It appears as if Tony Allen (knee) is going to be a game-time decision tonight against the San Antonio Spurs. If he can't go, Sam Young will likely get another start at the shooting guard position with O.J. Mayo continuing to come off the bench. This means that we're going to have to find defensive effort elsewhere. No offense to Sam Young, but... he's Sam Young. And while Mayo has been a nice spark off the bench, giving us a some punch on the offensive side of the ball, he too isn't nearly the defender that Allen is.

I imagine that tonight's game we're going to have to keep an eye on the wayward Spur -- meaning, the one guy who comes "out of nowhere" and gives us fits. Think, Matt Bonner, Danny Green, Gary Neal, etc. It's never the same guy, especially since it's not going to be Manu Ginobili. But it's always someone. And without Allen, we're going to be forced to find a way to close-out on whoever that scorer is. Let's just hope it's not Bonner. For some reason I hate it when he kills us.
