Some minor news from last night, as the Grizzlies gave Ronald Dupree a non-guaranteed one-year deal at the league minimum, which essentially translates to: they invited him to camp!
We've been noting all along that the Grizzlies are more than likely only going to carry 13 players since they are already about $3 million over the luxury tax. So, as you'll see in the coming days, there will likely be a few more "signings" made, which will ultimately mean a couple more non-guaranteed camp invites will be handed out.
Re: Griz roster. Don't get too excited about player signings for training camp. All will be non-guaranteed deals and long shots.

Already the Grizzlies are sitting on DJ Kennedy and his non-guaranteed contract. As for Dupree, he's played only 13 minutes in the NBA since the 2007-08 season. That brief stint was with the Toronto Raptors back in 2010-11, in a season where he scored just one bucket. I definitely think he's a decent talent, worthy of an invite -- I like his length and athleticism -- but, again, the Grizzlies roster seems all but set and it would take just a tremendous camp for Dupree, or anyone for that matter, to make the roster.
