Grizzlies! Mavericks! Go!

Ronald Martinez

Tonight, less than 24 hours after a playoff-intensity overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs, the Grizzlies are in Dallas to take on Dirk Nowitzki, O.J. Mayo, and the rest of the Dallas Mavericks in another divisional matchup.

The last time these two teams faced off, it was in Memphis, and Tony Allen — who celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday — played every second his old friend Ovinton J'Anthony was on the court. Whether or not Allen has the energy to repeat that performance tonight remains to be seen, but either way, the birthday boy will be fired up and ready to go.

Dallas is currently 14-23, in fourth place in the Southwest division behind San Antonio, Memphis, and the Houston Rockets, but they just got Dirk back from injury, so one would be safe to assume their record will improve. They're definitely going to play hard against the Grizzlies tonight, and rest may end up being an issue.

Either way, let's talk it out!
