It's Rudy Gay trade rumor time again, folks!
This morning, USA Today and HOOPWORLD's Steve Kyler is reporting that the Bobcats are particularly interested in trading for Rudy Gay:
You can go ahead and count the Charlotte Bobcats as one of the teams that are "aggressively" pursuing Rudy Gay -- may not have enough
— Steve Kyler (@stevekylerNBA) January 19, 2013
The Bobcats seem to be an unlikely landing place for Gay given their lack of assets to make the Grizzlies immediately better, but stranger things have happened.
As the Rotoworld piece where we came across this rumor states, reports from the Memphis side are that it's "likely" that Rudy stays past the trade deadline and the Grizzlies make a run at the title with the core they currently have in place.
So, so far, that's the Phoenix Suns, the Washington Wizards, the Toronto Raptors, the Orlando Magic, and the Charlotte Bobcats. Did I miss any?
