File this one under: "Yeah, no kidding."
In an interview with Lang Whitaker of GQ Magazine, Grizzlies' point guard Mike Conley praised his head coach Lionel Hollins for his toughness, but noted that when push comes to shove -- quite literally -- he can take him in a fight.
What is Coach Hollins like?
I think people might know who he is, but what is he like in the locker room or at practice? He's intense, man. He's a guy who speaks his mind. He's pretty straightforward. He's not afraid to fight a player or anybody. So he's definitely somebody that you don't want to mess with.
Do you think you could take him if you had to?
Um... yeah. Don't tell him I said that, though.
Yeah, no one tell him. OK? Thanks. There were some other interesting nuggets in there, some of which are basketball-related while others are have to do with his video game obsession.
Take the time to read it. Just, you know, don't tell Hollins about the whole "Mike can take him" thing.
