lau-rel /ˈlôrəl/ - any of a number of shrubs and other plants with dark green glossy leaves, in particular.
(So no wonder you don't want to rest on them. You just worked so hard to plant them.)
We've seen some resiliency from the Grizzlies during this road trip, and it's been a welcomed sight for very sore eyes. But now that the Griz are coming out of the funk of amnesia that stole their identity, they need to continue on the path of enlightenment. They showed us they win under the big lights (Lakers), they can squash inexperienced, weak teams (Kings), and they can even slay the giants that have haunted their nightmares (Clippers).
What I want to see from Memphis tonight is the ability to make a quick slaying out of a quality opponent that doesn't match up too well against them. Call it "stepping on the throat" or "ringing the death knell" or whatever you will, but Memphis fans need to see the killer instinct from the boys in blue tonight.
The Grindmaster from the last edition of Grind Prophecies (at Clips) was Zach Randolph.
