You can color me as one of the people that dogged Tayshaun Prince for a lot of his performance last season. I was also optimistic that Prince could have a rebirth after hearing about how he was out-of-shape when he came over to the Grizzlies (but honestly, how would you ever know with that frame?). The phrase I used at some point was being hopeful that the old cherry tree could blossom just one more time.
After Tayshaun's battle with whatever virus caused him to yak up 30 lbs of body mass, it wasn't looking like that tree was going to make it through the month of November, but we may now be seeing what a refocused, healthy Prince can do for the Memphis Grizzlies. We don't need Tayshaun to score 20 pts, or heck, even 10 pts to be honest. The Grizzlies just need those 6-8 points at key moments spread throughout the game. Not to say they all can or need to be at those moments, take them whenever they're there, but the success Tayshaun is having (all over the court) might give him a bolder edge that was lacking during his time with Memphis last season.
The Grindmaster from the last edition of Grind Prophecies (at Warriors) was Zach Randolph.
