Injury Report

Memphis: Marc Gasol (out), Quincy Pondexter (out)

Chicago: Derrick Rose (out), Luol Deng (day-to-day)

Recently for the Grizzlies: An up and down month of December that has been ravaged by injuries. Despite the bruises and bumps, the Grizzlies have rode the play of Zach Randolph in the past month (who has 8 double/doubles) and have been given some new breaths of life by newcomer James Johnson and the efficient production of Jon Leuer (who has only failed to reach double digit points four times in December).

Recently for the Bulls: An equally as disappointing month of December that has only seen them win (4) games this month. The Bulls have garnered their fair share of the injury bug once again, but the team as a whole is still playing very good defense - allowing only four opponents to reach the century mark in the month of December. Joakim Noah has taken on the burden of scoring as of late, so Kosta Koufos will need to stay out of foul trouble to keep everything level this evening.

Last time they met: 1/19/2013, the Grizzlies squeezed out a win 85-82. Memphis has won the last 3 meetings with the Bulls with Derrick Rose missing all 3 contests. The Bulls have shown to have trouble scoring on the Grizzlies without the services of Rose, and the Grizzlies have seemingly found themselves on offense in the past week. If Chicago can't slow the Grizzlies down in the paint then this matchup could see similar results to the previous meetings.

Prediction: Memphis 98 - Chicago 92
