Injury report

Memphis: Marc Gasol (left MCL sprain) is out indefinitely, Zach Randolph (toe injury) is day‐to‐day.

Clippers: Matt Barnes (retinal tear) did not travel; J.J. Redick (fractured right hand/torn ligament in right wrist) did not travel; Maalik Wayns (torn meniscus left knee) is out.

Recently for the Grizzlies: Memphis is coming off a trouncing of the Phoenix Suns in FedexForum that saw the Grizzlies break the century mark in points for just the 5th time this season. The Grizzlies received significant contributions from nearly their entire roster, with seven players reaching double-digit scoring. The emergence of Ed Davis and Jon Leuer gives the Grizzlies some athleticism in the post that would really come in handy tonight.

Recently for the Clippers: Los Angeles has had two ugly games since the injury to J.J. Redick, losing to the Pacers at home and the Hawks on the road. The Clippers ability to hit the 3-ball apparently stayed at home with Redick as the Clips have shot 8/34, or 23% from beyond the arc in those two games. LA will probably look to turn their luck around tonight considering that teams have a knack for going nuclear from long range against the Grizzlies.

What to watch for: Even with Redick and Gasol out tonight, there are still some spectacular matchups to keep an eye on. The now-classic Zach Randolph/Blake Griffin scrum will always be fun to watch. And with Mike Conley blossoming, his duel with the Point God CP3 will be as intense as ever. It will be interesting to see the change in dynamic with Kosta Koufos and Ed Davis going up against Deandre Jordan and Ryan Hollins.

Last time they met: 11/18/2013. The Grizzlies pulled out a late victory in Staples Center and road their big men while getting to the foul line for (30) shots. The complexion is surely to look different tonight, and some unlikely heroes will probably emerge for the Grizzlies and the Clippers.
