Grind Prophecies: Boston Must Win Party

With a detrimental letdown in NOLA, how will the Grizzlies respond?

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

I consider last night to be the biggest letdown of the season. I know the Grizzlies have had larger defeats and they did make a fourth quarter run, but every aspect of the game was dominated by the Hornets. I could not believe the lack of effort on the defensive boards nor the lack of respect for their ball-handlers.

The severity of the letdown is found in the timeliness in which it happened. In the heat of a playoff positioning battle. Nuggets are on a hot streak and facing weaker competition the next few games. Just finished beating a potential second round match-up. And...letdown. Out played from top to bottom, Memphis saw no production or energy boost from the bench (except Bayless) and Arthur's debut was timid and scattered. I thought this would be a perfect game for him to return but it only made me worry more about our bench's production going forward into the final stretch and into the playoffs.

Okay. Rant over. For more on tonight's game against the Boston Celtics check out the game preview.
