The Memphis Grizzlies take the court again tonight. Tonight! As in not during the day, as in this would appear to be a very good thing, as in the Grizzlies' haven't looked especially crisp during day games ... as in no more Grize and Shine.

It appears as though the rest of this series will tipoff at 8:00PM central time, and something about that feels a lot better. The NBA should know that I don't like to start drinking before 6:00pm. (Although if I must then I'll give a soft-plug for bloody mary's and Zing Zang mix.) It's easy for me to get going for noon football games, and heck, even day baseball games make sense to me. But the NBA is somewhat the rock show of sports, and rock shows are meant for the night-er side of life.

I'm sure we'd love to see the Griz get off to a hot start, and I'm honestly okay with the hotness coming from either the offense or the defense. Give me an end of 1st quarter score that resembles either 16-14 or 35-33.

3 things that would make me ecstatic at halftime:

  • Zach Randolph has at least 10 points
  • Marc Gasol has at least 6 rebounds
  • Austin Daye has zero minutes (ha! jk... kinda)
  • Mike Conley has zero turnovers

Let's chat it up folks! Welcome newcomers and old beans alike! But remember...
