Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley can indeed dunk a basketball

Surely one of the best NBA athletes on the planet can dunk the ball, right? It's very possible, and stop calling me Shirley.

As I was perusing the articles and comments this morning I noticed a little convo between GBB stalwarts DerrtySouth and Okitech623 regarding the existence and record of a Michael Conley, Jr dunk in a game.

Honestly, this has been a thought that I've pinballed around in my head for a while, too. You'd have to assume that a 6'1 Mike Conley, despite his somewhat small stature, would be able to jump high enough to dunk a basketball considering all the other freakishly amazing feats he can perform on the court.

When you consider Mike's pedigree and pair that with the video below, there's no possible way that Mike Conley is left without the hops for a dunk.

Well, with a little Googling power we find out that there is definitely documented evidence of Conley, Jr throwing a ball through an NBA hoop whilst touching the rim (aka a dunk). It's not quite as flashy as his dad's exhibition, but that's not Mike's style (much as it wasn't Marc's style until a couple of years ago).

And seen again here (from last season) against the Grizzlies matchup tonight - the Portland Trail Blazers.

So now you all know the undeniable fact. Mike Conley can throw it down, and perhaps as his confidence continues to skyrocket we'll see him embellish those hops a little.

There could be other Mike Conley dunks on the books, but these were the easiest to find without going complete Google sleuth for several hours.
