These two teams don't meet up very often, but when they do ... oh boy ... is it ever ugly.
In the last 10 games between Memphis and Charlotte (dating back about 5 years), the 100-point mark has only been met twice, both times by the Grizzlies. In fact, over those last 10 meetings, Charlotte has finished with fewer than 90 points 7 times and the Grizzlies a total of 6 times, including the 71-69 victory that Memphis claimed earlier this season.
In other words, don't expect a lot of possessions and point production tonight. There's likely to be a plethora of missed shots and turnovers, and we're already talking about two teams that sit near the bottom of the league in PACE.
If you've got to count on someone to play in tonight's game, you should go with Marc Gasol. He's been on fire as of late, and he had a pretty good game against Charlotte a few weeks ago (22 pts, 8 rbs). On the flip side, you'll probably want to avoid Lance Stephenson, as he'll be seeing a healthy dose of Tony Allen on defense, but Kemba Walker has shown to have a hot hand in the past against the Grizzlies.
