Memphis Grizzlies vs. Miami Heat, Final Score 103-87: Leuer spearheads the deathblow to Miami

Grizzlies secure a nice bounce-back win after dropping their previous two games.

Oh my Leuer'd!

The Memphis Grizzlies slowly crept into a dominating performance over the Miami Heat on Sunday evening. The Heat found a comfortable groove in the paint early on, but eventually they would succumb to the Grizzlies hot hand and find rims of icy bricks for themselves.

Every Grizzlies starter recorded double digit points except for, wait for it, Marc Gasol who had, ...waaaait for it...., 2 total points on the night. Marc also chipped in with 6 rebounds and 7 assists, and the Grizzlies were fortunate to be able to rest their marquee player and limit his minutes to under thirty.

The real show tonight was Jon Leuer. He was shooting daggers, he was smashing dunks, he was snagging rebounds, he was grabbing steals, and he likely shut up a good number of haters, particularly the gentleman who talked mad crap to me during a pool game at the Blue Monkey a few weeks ago. Check out Jon's Ballet a la Basketball:

That's some pretty basketball, y'all.

Observation Deck

  • Tayshaun Prince once again served me some crow this Sunday evening. It tasted delicious, as always. Keep ballin' TP.
  • Mike Conley didn't miss a single shot tonight, and he scored 18 points.
  • Beno Udrih continues to keep Nick Calathes glued to the bench. Beno looks confident out there, continues to make very timely shots, and did a great job of getting his teammates involved tonight as he racked up six assists.

Stay tuned for more coverage of the Grizzlies win over the Heat!
