"Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future."- John F. Kennedy
In life, a certainty that all of us must deal with is change. The world around us is in a continuous state of change, whether it be seasons, people or places. Jobs, too, can change. All of this is easier for some to adapt to than for others.
It would appear that Lionel Hollins really struggles with change. In a recent sit down interview with a local Fox affiliate he showed that, continuing to discuss the events that led to his departure from the Memphis Grizzlies organization. While Lionel continues to play the victim card, he also continues to not see the error of his own ways (at least publicly) and admit to his own wrongdoing in the process of losing his job.
Until he is able to do that, he will not be able to move on to another job, although the way he has talked about his previous employers publicly it cannot make him a very attractive candidate for another head coaching job in the NBA.
I had a chance to discuss this topic with Phil Naessens on "The Phil Naessens Show" today. We also discussed the Grizzlies/Clippers game from last Friday and how we expect the Grizzlies to do in this week's slate of games. Give it a listen in the player below and be sure to make "The Phil Naessens Show" a part of your podcast enjoyment. Phil does a great job and I am always happy to be a part of his program.
