There are good days for scoreboard watching, and there are bad days for scoreboard watching - the same way there are good and bad nights for sleeping naked.

Grizzlies fans have recently been having good times watching the scoreboard bear some useful fruits for Memphis. We now found ourselves tentatively holding on to the 7th seed in the Western Conference thanks to a stomping of the Mavericks from the Warriors. There's no time to celebrate, however, as the Griz need to take care of business in New Orleans tonight, or the fortunes of the 7th seed could immediately be swept away with Dallas taking on the squishy Utah Jazz an hour after the Grizzlies tip off.

Regardless of how temporary this position could be, it's still fun to finally look up at a different team and start daydreaming about how we can possibly over take them. I still think it's a longshot that Golden State falters during their final 17 games, but they do in fact play Eastern Conference teams only 4 more times this season, so there's at least that thought to garner some hope. Perhaps the wild West will shake out in the Grizzlies favor if they take care of their own business.

With over 73% of the NBA playing tonight, the playoff picture could look very different again tomorrow. Memphis just needs to keep their blinders on until the weekend.
