John Hollinger to stay on with the Memphis Grizzlies amidst Front Office shake-up, according to The Chris Vernon Show

We have a trooper, folks.

Chris Vernon of The Chris Vernon Show is on the 92.9 ESPN airwaves in Memphis today divulging the insider information that he is so adept at collecting in regards to the Memphis Grizzlies.

In the first hour of his show Vernon relayed that John Hollinger, currently the Vice President of Basketball Operations (but that could easily change in the coming days and weeks), has personally told Grizzlies controlling owner Robert Pera, GM Chris Wallace and Vernon himself that he would be staying on with the Memphis Grizzlies.

This is great news as far as maintaining some sort of cohesion as Memphis reels in the wake of yesterday's bombshell. Aside from a glimmer of leadership, Hollinger's continued presence will obviously help influence roster moves and whatever it is the Grizzlies end up doing with their 22nd pick in the NBA Draft next month.

I'd also like to remind everyone that this news has a "for now" disclaimer. I still don't think all the aftershock tremors are over just quite yet.
