Note: Hope everyone is keeping up ... there's a lot of moving pieces these days in the GBB Mock Draft Land.

We have a Kevin Love trade!

Here's the skinny on what went down with Minnesota (DontKillJohn) and Phoenix (Adam Rubrum):

Minnesota receives:

  • 14th pick
  • 27th pick
  • Goran Dragic
  • Markieff Morris

Phoenix receives:

  • Kevin Love
  • 13th pick

With that now done, the Phoenix Suns, with the 13th pick & represented by Adam Rubrum, select:

13) Rodney Hood, SF, Duke University

A lanky shooter who can move around fairly well with the ball (and efficiently, just a 10% turnover ratio at Duke), Hood has the shooting chops (42% from three and a technically sound high release) to make him a very solid grab at #13. His limited wingspan and half-throttled motor could make him a defensive liability in the NBA, but Hood comes out of his two years in college as a mature 21-year-old who should be able to mentally acclimate to a more demanding role in a defensive sense.

Adam will have a more detailed explanation for his thought process on the Kevin Love acquisition when he picks again at #18.
