I suppose I got lucky for not going with Embiid first overall since it appears that he'll now be at least out of the top 3. It's been a great mock, everyone. I'll get a full recap of all the happenings up here later, but for now let's go out with a bang for a team that will probably take their #30 pick and turn him into a perennial All-Star.

As usual, the Spurs don't really have pressing needs (Popovich just has one of those huge reels of machine gun bullets that never ends) but with the Big Old 3 get another year older I figure they'll need a backup plan for at least a couple of them.

With the 30th pick in the 2014 GBB Mock Draft, the San Antonio Spurs select:

30) Jordan Adams, SG, UCLA

The Spurs get a tremendous value and a position that will eventually be of need when Manu Ginobili internally combusts from a vicious flop during World Cup Basketball and Danny Green leaves to cash in on free agency.

Jordan Adams is like Zach Randolph in a shooting guard's body. Although he has trimmed down since college (209 lbs down from 230) he is still most likely a bowling bowl of a player with tremendous strength and uncanny ability to finish at the rim. He can take it down the lane or post up over shooting guards while shooting a stellar 55% inside the arc in his college career. I'm telling you ... Zach Randolph in a shooting guard's body.

He's not going to be mistaken for Michael Jordan as he is unable to jump over that same phone book that has been haunting Z-Bo for years. Adams also isn't much of a threat as an outside shooter, but that won't stop Pop from utitlizing this very unique player to continue his reign of terror on the NBA for another decade.
