Hearing: Beno Udrih has committed to sign and stay with Memphis. Deal to be completed today
— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 10, 2014
Udrih's deal with Grizzlies, I'm told, is going to be two-year pact at the bi-annual exception after Beno's strong playoff play with Memphis

There's no ink on the contract just yet, but it appears Nick Calathes days as a Memphis Grizzly are likely over as Memphis gets backup PG hero Beno Udrih to commit to staying in Memphis for what looks to be a 2-year deal that will likely be around $1-$2 million a year.
*UPDATE: There's a partial guarantee on the 2nd year of the deal coming in at just under $1 million.
What does this mean? For starters, the Grizzlies will finally have a plan at backup PG going into an offseason and then the following NBA regular season. Beno will have all summer to gel into Dave Joerger's system and has plenty of valuable NBA experience to bring to the table. (and shooting!)
But don't take my word for it, here's what you all are saying:
THERE WILL BENO FREE AGENCY

The Grizzlies aren't paying Beno Udrih the bi annual exception for him to be the 3rd string PG.

You can get Udrih here with the idea Beno's not coming back.

Using the Bi-Annual exception on Beno essentially means MEM cannot give Miller more than 50% of the MLE w/o going over the tax.

@FlyerGrizBlog I think Pera has made it rather clear that he typically does not keep the employ of people who want to be somewhere else.

Can confirm that 2nd year on Udrih is partially guaranteed. As always, no indication they plan to let Calathes out of deal.
