I've heard Q-Pon, Jon Leuer, and now Earl Clark all say that there aren't really positions anymore. Guys are just basketball players.

@chipwilliamsjr I'd say there are still true PG's and Centers (err… maybe a couple of centers) but 2, 3 and 4 are really blurring the lines.

@chipwilliamsjr @FaulknerMemphis That's why I felt the fuss over the perceived "glut of guards" was overdone.

@ReynoldsRant @chipwilliamsjr @RickTrotter @FaulknerMemphis gotta remember defense though fellas. Not everyone is TA. Length helps.
— Joe Mullinax (@JoeMullinax) September 29, 2014
@JoeMullinax @ReynoldsRant @chipwilliamsjr @FaulknerMemphis Depends on match ups. For some teams, foot-speed is more useful than length

@JoeMullinax @RickTrotter @ReynoldsRant @FaulknerMemphis re: Grizz Beasley, Tay, Q, TA, VC, Nick, Lee, Leuer can all play many positions
— Chip Williams (@chipwilliamsjr) September 29, 2014
@JoeMullinax @ReynoldsRant @chipwilliamsjr @FaulknerMemphis Agreed but long & explosive wings don't grow on trees and they ain't cheap.
— Rick Trotter (@RickTrotter) September 29, 2014
@RickTrotter @JoeMullinax @chipwilliamsjr @FaulknerMemphis That James Johnson guy was pretty long, explosive and cheap! (Still bitter)

What do you all think? Can Dave Joerger figure out how to rotate the Grizzlies lineup to reflect the idea that distinguishing the 2, 3, and 4 spots is no longer essential for NBA success?
