The Grizzlies have a new point guard. His name is RoboCop.
Well, okay, that's not true. But with the way Mike Conley played tonight, it's not exactly the furthest thing from the truth. Conley torched the Celtics for a game-high 20 points, though it felt like much more for Celtics fans. The Ohio State product scored the first 8 Grizzlies points, and every bucket he hit down the stretch should have been a momentum killer.
And, he did it all on one leg. Conley left midway through the third quarter after twisting his right ankle, an area he's been dealing with injuries with since last season.
Still, he found a way to return in the fourth quarter, and even had a chance to tie the game as the clock wound down.
He took a few minutes to talk about the final shot, his ankle, and what might be plaguing the up-and-down Grizzlies of late.
