Pick #17
Milwaukee Bucks
GM: Jill Kong
We have a trade!!
Milwaukee trades: Pick #17
for
LA Lakers: Pick #27, Pick #34
From Lakers GM chipwilliamsjr:
The Lakers made a huge jump (10 spots), and only had to give up an additional second-round pick to do it. The trade was a no brainer from a Lakers point of view.
And with the 17th pick in the draft, GM chipwilliamsjr and the Lakers select:
17) Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, SF from Arizona

From GM chipwilliamsjr:
As for the pick, Hollis-Jefferson is one of the best athletes in the entire draft. He's explosive and violent when attacking the rim where he's a terrific finisher. He has a high basketball IQ when it comes to finding holes in the defense and making cuts. RHJ became a very good passer this past season at Arizona. His 7-foot-1 wingspan coupled with his tremendous athleticism make him one of the best rebounding wings in the draft. He's excellent at getting out in transition and filling the proper lanes. His best skill may be his defensive versatility. RHJ is arguably the best perimeter defender in this year's draft, and last season he defended everyone from a point guard in Delon Wright to a power forward/center in Frank Kaminsky. He has a motor that constantly runs, and he's not afraid to dive on the floor or fight someone for a rebound. RHJ is not a great shooter by any stretch, but I'll remind everyone that Kwahi Leonard was a 25 percent three-point shooter in college and has shot nearly 37 percent from three in the NBA. RHJ was the best player left on my board, and he was too good not to go up and get.
Another trade in the books. Next we've got SirRiles and the Houston Rockets at #18.
