Memphis Grizzlies Media Day: Jeff Green confident a full off-season will pay dividends

Jeff Green was a less-than-stellar, closer-to-very-disappointing midseason addition to the Memphis Grizzlies last season. But our ire towards the small forward position naturally slid over from Tayshaun Prince to Green. The tone around the team today suggests that they are putting as much stock into the benefits of a training camp as we were in our previewfor Jeff.

"I'm looking forward to t the opportunity to get a full training camp under my belt and come into the season fully healthy"

"I'm going to go out there and play hard and be aggressive."

"I worked on everything this summer. There's not too many guys that can say they get to work on everything and I'm blessed to say that ingest that opportunity."

"I think I can be a lot better with a training camp. You can ask any player in the league, it's tough to come in mid season without a training camp a perform."

Thoughts: Hopefully training camp shows Green that he's awesome when attacking the basket and not as awesome when shooting halfway through the drive. We saw a revved up version of Courtney Lee after he got in his off-season with Memphis. I'm crossing everything I've got that Jeff does the same. The Grizzlies desperately need some consistency at the position.
