Grizzlies vs. Wizards GameThread

After a tough loss in New York, the Grizzlies have a quick turnaround as they return home to Memphis to take on the Wizards.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It feels like we did this recently...

Last night, the Memphis Grizzlies had another slow start, this time against the New York Knicks, but unlike opening night against the Timberwolves they were not able to come back. Now sitting at 1-1, the Grizzlies are back in the friendly confines of the FedExForum for another game against another Eastern Conference opponent in the Washington Wizards. Marc Gasol is expected to see limited minutes tonight, and the Grizzlies injury report seems to grow by the day. In addition to the usual suspects- Chandler Parsons, Brandan Wright, and Tony Allen are already out- Andrew Harrison, JaMychal Green, Jarell Martin, and Wade Baldwin are all listed as questionable for tonight.

So injuries can carry over seasons and spread to guys who were once healthy, or not even on the roster, it would seem. Should make for a fun game against John Wall and company.

It may well take a little magic to take this one against the Wizards. Let's hope the Grizzlies are up to the challenge.
