The Memphis Grizzlies, despite not having their best players at all times and despite not yet playing their best basketball, have found a way to keep hovering around .500. That ability will continue to be put to the test as the Grizzlies, after a 2-2 home stand, start a four game road trip tonight in Milwaukee against the Bucks.
Milwaukee is getting tremendous play from Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is an early Most Improved Player candidate. The "Greek Freak" is averaging over 21 points per game so far this season, in addition to over eight rebounds, six assists, almost two blocks and two steals per game. While other Bucks are playing good ball (Jabari Parker is averaging over 17 points per game on 38.5% three point shooting), Antetokounmpo is the unquestioned leader on this team and the main reason they are currently 4-3. He can play any position on the floor, he is evolving his basketball skill set, and he is turning 22 in December.
Analysis? Holy crap. Memphis must slow him down if they hope to beak Milwaukee tonight.
