Grizzlies vs. Trail Blazers GameThread

It is a Sunday afternoon matinee in Memphis for the Grizzlies as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers.

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

The Memphis Grizzlies, coming off a tough loss at the hands of the hated Los Angeles Clippers, head in to game three of a four game home stand this afternoon. The Grizzlies hung around in the Clippers game, not quitting despite being outplayed and struggling mightily offensively (unless your name is Mike Conley). They will need that toughness today, as they welcome the Portland Trail Blazers to FedExForum.

Damian Lillard has begun the season on a tear, scoring at least 27 points in every game so far and averaging 34 points per game, as well as 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Mike Conley was able to go toe to toe with Chris Paul on Friday night- another tremendous effort from "Captain Clutch" will be needed against Lillard if Memphis hopes to pull out the win in Chandler Parsons' debut for the Grizzlies.
