This Sundays game against the Portland Trail Blazers was already an intriguing one due to the match-up between two top-tier NBA point guards.

But now, this game will garner attention from all around the NBA universe.

According to reports, Chandler Parsons will now be making his Grizzlies debut on Sunday afternoon against Portland.

This move will give the Memphis offense a much-needed jolt, as the offense has been very ineffective in the past two games. Parsons’ shooting and play-making ability on the wing will, hopefully, bring some stability on the perimeter to compliment Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph.

While many of us will be watching to see something new for the Grizzlies, we should be hoping for more of the same from Mike Conley.

Conley is off to a terrific start this season and his play was highlighted by his performance in Friday night’s loss to the Clippers, where he tallied 30 points, 10 assists, and 0 turnovers in 37 masterful minutes of play.

Conley’s adversary will be (very) early-season MVP candidate, Damian Lillard. Lillard himself is off to a sizzling start for the Blazers, averaging 34.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, with a terrific 31.01 player efficiency rating.

This is a must watch for Grizzlies fans. Because this game will be a showcase for Memphis’ two big free-agent prizes in Conley and Parsons. This will be the beginning of a, hopefully, long and successful partnership between this $247 million pairing on the perimeter.
