What to Watch For
That Marc Gasol Character: I’m starting to think he might be pretty good. A solid three-point shooter, with some other skills to boot. And he just happens to be 7 feet tall. He went for 27 against the Sixers last time around, but he might be on a minutes restriction after carrying the team through two overtimes last night.
Troy Daniels En Fuego: It turns out we might not have been wrong to be excited about this under-the-radar off-season pickup. He scored 13 points in his first seven games, then 69 in his last three. Let’s keep an eye on that trajectory, shall we?
Setting the Tone Early: The day after a 2OT thriller is always groggy. After going down 11 to the Sixers in their last meeting before coming back to win, the Grizzlies will want to establish a first half lead in this one to give themselves a better chance to extend their current streak. They’ll also want to do to a better job bottling up Ersan Ilyasova and crashing the boards on defense.
