Mike Tyson once said "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." The Memphis Grizzlies were dealt quite a blow yesterday when it was reported by Ron Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal that Marc Gasol was out indefinitely with a broken foot. On the latest episode of GBBLive, Host Joe Mullinax and his guests talked about what this means for both the short and long term futures of the Grizzlies. Listen in the player below or via this link.
The first segment had Joe welcoming Managing Editor of Grizzly Bear Blues Chris Faulkner on to his weekly "Grizzly Bear News" segment. Gasol's injury dominated the conversation, with Joe articulating his deepest, darkest fears and Chris asking what it would mean for the Grizzlies, if anything, come the trade deadline next week.
Ben Hogan of 92.9 FM ESPN Memphis' Eric Hasseltine Show returned to GBBLive in the final segment and broke down Ryan Hollins (who now likely will remain in Memphis for the rest of the season), Matt Barnes, and the All-Star festivities this weekend. The guys also predicted Memphis' trade deadline moves (or lack there of) and previewed the Gasol-less end of the pre-All Star slate of games tonight in Brooklyn against the Nets.
